Alex has over two decades of experience working in B2B sales, marketing and business management and in 1999 he founded his first technology company, which as CEO he later floated on the AIM market of The London Stock Exchange.
A previous winner of Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award, Alex led the management buyout of Connect in April 2014 and has responsibility for the strategic direction, business development and overall running of Connect Managed Services. Alex is a keen sportsman and previously represented England in the U19 rugby union team.
Martin provides the technical lead for the business. Martin joined Connect in 2003 through Connect’s purchase of Rapport Professional Services, a business Martin founded jointly.
Rapport provided specialist consultancy services in providing multinational communications technology services. Prior to Rapport, Martin was responsible for Business Development of European Professional & Managed Services in Nortel.
Martin brings an infectious enthusiasm for communications technology and extensive knowledge of architecting communications technologies and specialist services.
Simon Blagden is non-executive Chairman of Fujitsu UK. He has 25 years business experience in the IT and Telecoms industry, initially at GEC where he was an International Commercial Manager. In 1991, he joined Quante AG as UK Managing Director and then joined the Main Board in 1995 as CEO of International Operations. In 2000 he joined Spescom in Johannesburg to head up its international telecoms and IT business.
In 2005, he was appointed as Non Executive Chairman of Fujitsu UK and is a member of Fujitsu UK's leadership team.
Simon was appointed MBE in 1997 for services to export and was appointed CBE in 2016 for services to the economy.
John joined Connect in 2016 having come from a background as CFO in I.T & BPO outsource companies, where he provided the commercial vision on many innovative business opportunities that helped create significant business growth.
Prior to joining Connect, John was Finance Director of Paymaster and prior to that, was CFO of Atos UK, having previously undertaken Business Unit Controller roles in the Defence & Financial Services divisions of EDS.
Director, North America
Greg has over 33 years of international technology financial markets experience in enterprise sales, having been key to helping companies like GAINS International, IPC, and Speakerbus grow their businesses. During his tenure at IPC he managed various business units, including Americas Network and Turret sales. He started his career at Chase Manhattan Bank, and has also held various technology managerial positions at Harlow Meyer Savage, Tullett & Tokyo Forex, Madge Networks. Greg Wasilewski graduated from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia with a B.S. in Financial Management. He is also a life member of the Sayreville Emergency Squad, volunteering his Emergency Medical Technician qualifications.
Sanketh is our Technical Director and joined Connect in October 2007. With a breadth of over 15 years deep, expert technical experience within Global IT Service providers such as Wipro and pan-Asia platinum partners like 3D Networks he has a wealth of knowledge to lead the strategy, implementation and adoption of technology and toolsets for both our customers and internal functions.
Sanketh has built the technical practice organically and is a strong believer in investing in young talents and providing them the opportunity to grow in this fast changing world of technology.
Nick was previously the Operations Director for PC-1's and was responsible for a step change in the delivery and best practice of its services. Before this at HGS he synchronised the HGS Transformation Practice & Methodology with award winning operational excellence and functional expertise, to maintain HGS as a preferred partner for transformational service delivery in both existing and future partnerships.
Nick has over 15 years of experience in the delivery of complex, multi-channel and multi-geography outsourcing programs for businesses across FMCG/CPG, Finance, Automotive, Health and Government.
After joining HGS in 2000 he rose through the ranks to assume front-line operational roles in organisations for the likes of Unilever, Lloyds, HMV and Post Office, being awarded ‘Employee of the Year’ on two separate occasions. Notably he was Operations Manager for the award winning Unilever Consumer Careline and was a key figure in the set-up and delivery of their European offices in Hamburg, Paris, Rotterdam and Rome for HGS
Steve is the Commercial Director on the Management Board having joined Connect in Jan 2011 to support the businesses growth plans which resulted in the Acquisition of Connect by LDC in April 2014. Steve has a wealth of commercial, procurement and sales experience from 30 years within the IT Industry working with Landis - a pan European role, ilion, Persona Plc and Worldwide Computers.
Having most recently been part-owner of his own fully services business with MBC Netweather, Steve has developed a finely tuned business sense that helps in all aspects of his varied commercial role in achieving growth for the business.
